Annual General Meeting 2022

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Monday 25 April and we were delighted that members joined us, both in person and virtually. There are some changes to the Board this year as Robert East (Chair), David Cutter (Group Chief Executive) and Amanda Burton (Non-Executive Director) stepped down from their roles after the AGM. Gwyn Burr is our new Chair.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted at the AGM. It's with great pride that I take up my role at Skipton. As customer behaviour continues to evolve, I look forward to working with the team in meeting the new challenges this brings so we can continue to meet our customers' needs.

Our AGM results

Voting for 2022 has now closed and it was great that so many of you took the opportunity to have your say. All the resolutions were passed at the meeting based on all the votes received from our members online, in branch, by post and at the meeting itself.

You can find a summary of the results along with the minutes of the meeting below.

What we talked about

This year we were pleased that members joined us both in person and via live stream. The speeches summarised our successful year and our plans for the Society.

We talked about the issues that mattered to our members such as diversity and climate change and were asked some great questions. We'll make sure the points raised - both from those who got in touch before the meeting and from the event - are taken into account as we run your Society in the future.

Rules of the Society 2022

At our AGM in April 2022, the Board proposed some changes to the Society's Rules and the resolution was passed by members. The changes have now been formally registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and will take effect from 31 August 2022 as the Rules of the Society 2022. You can view a copy of the Rules below. Printed copies are also available - please contact any branch or head office.

Thank you for having your say

As a mutual with no shareholders, voting at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a really important way for our members to shape the future of the Society – thank you to everyone who voted and asked questions. We really value your opinions and feedback.
